The brewery of this umeshu is located in the heart of the kanto region of eastern Japan, which is known as one of the main places where the plums are grown. All the original features of the plum fruit could be found in this liquor.
It is recommanded to serve this umeshu in cold temperature, with ice cube or crushed ice. It can act perfected as an aperitif, or a light digestive in the dinner, where it can also be served as a shot on a pan-fried foie gras. In Japan, this umeshu is also often used as a base for cocktail mixing as well !
