Perfect for special occasions when you want to enjoy Japanese tea with your family or guests, or as a special gift for those who love Japanese culture and unique items.
The porcelain is made from a fine-grained white clay called kaolin, with added ingredients including feldspar and fine bone ash. It is a thin porcelain, but strong and durable.
Kutani-ware is a craft that has been handed down through the ages. It has a history of over 350 years. Its long history has evolved through the tireless efforts and enthusiasm of people who have sought innovation while maintaining tradition.
Made by craftsman Keigo Kamide, who is the 6th generation of Kutani Choemon Kiln. It is his desire to create universal and fresh expressions based on the history of Kiln, and to pass on Kutani-ware to the present with flexible ideas that are not limited by tradition or boundaries.
