Sencha is a type of Japanese ryokucha (green tea) which is prepared by infusing the processed whole tea leaves in hot water. Unlike macha (Powder) which is more ceremonial. Sencha is the most popular tea in Japan and is is perfect for anytime of the day and can be made more quickly. This is probably the most popular type of tea in Japan. We drink it both hot and cold.
"Yame" in Fukuoka Prefecture, a production centre of high-class tea that attracts Japanese tea lovers nationwide. Since ancient times, Yame has been regarded as an area with ideal conditions for tea cultivation, and consists of an alluvial plain in which earth and sand (leaf soil) carried from both the Chikugo and Yabe rivers are alternately deposited and cultivated there.
How to prepare the tea:
Water temperature: 70°C - Infusion: 40 seconds.
Amount: 4g for 1 person, 6g for 2 people.
Ingredients: Green tea.
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light.
