Genmaicha is a type of brown rice tea, a mixture of tea stems and leaves with roasted brown rice. The sugar and starch from the rice give this tea a warm, full, and nutty flavour. It is considered easy to drink, and to calm the stomach. The flavour is mild and it combines also the fresh taste of green tea with the unique aroma of the roasted rice.
Matcha-filled brown rice tea is popular with a wide range of people because of its bright green colour and the aroma of brown rice. The secret of the deliciousness is that green tea is sweet and rich Kagoshima sencha (green tea) and brown rice is from Kumamoto", and matcha from "Yame Hoshino". It goes well with meals and sweets, and it's easy to brew tea.
How to prepare:Although this tea is based on green tea, the recommended way to brew this tea is different: the water should be at about 90°C and a brewing time of 40 second is recommended, depending on desired strength
