- Certified organic Japanese style black tea with Japanese ginger
- Smooth, rounded flavour with gentle, citrusy warmth
- Easy on the stomach; ideal for everyday drinking and colder seasons
Japanese ginger is uniquely different from Western ginger. Where Western ginger is hot, peppery, and intense, Japanese ginger is milder, with a light, refreshing spice and gentle, slightly citrusy sweetness.
Grown and crafted in Miyazaki, this organic Japanese black tea is blended with fragrant slices of organic ginger to create a cup that is both comforting and refreshing. The tea leaves are carefully matured before blending, giving a rounded flavour without the harsh bite that ginger teas can sometimes have.
Japanese black tea and green tea are made from the same tea plant, but the leaves are processed differently to create their distinct flavours. To make black tea you let the picked leaves fully oxidise (darken in contact with air) before drying them, while for green tea you stop oxidation quickly with heat.
Because this tea is fully oxidised and slowly matured, the liquor is smooth and easy to drink, with the soft richness of Japanese black tea and a gentle, natural spiciness from the ginger. The ginger brings a subtle warmth that spreads through the body without overwhelming the palate, making it suitable even for those who usually find ginger too strong.
All ingredients are certified organic, and the combination of antioxidant‑rich black tea and naturally warming ginger makes this a pleasant everyday support for circulation, digestion, and staying cosy in colder seasons, while still feeling light enough to drink throughout the day.
Enjoy straight, or brew a little stronger and add a slice of lemon or a touch of honey when you want an extra soothing, warming cup.
