Why are Konjac Sponges Good for Your Skin?
The outermost layer of your skin keeps bacteria out and moisture in, ensuring that your skin stays healthy. However, when the skin is dry, the skin begins to crack and moisture easily evaporates, making it easier for external contaminants to enter. With a thickness of only about .02mm, the outer layer of skin is easily damaged, which can lead to skin problems. For example, rubbing too hard can cause inflammation and break the surface of the skin, leading to further dryness and irritation, which in turn leads to chronic eczema.
When filled with water, a konjac sponge develops an outer film of water. When used to gently wash your face, the soft 100% natural fibres and water will gently remove dirt without damaging the surface of your skin.
Konjac plants near the Japanese Alps are carefully developed into Japanese Konjac sponges, which are fed by water from natural snow melt. Japanese Konjac Sponges don’t need added fillers, fragrances, or colours when you employ excellent ingredients in the first place.
Using only konjac, without using any preservatives, antibacterial agents, or petroleum-derived ingredients. Patch tested and environment friendly product that is completely without petroleum-derived materials, including the package.
