Organic bancha tea from Shimane Prefecture is blended with domestically grown plums and green shiso. Enjoy the fragrant aroma of bancha tea and the refreshing flavor of plums and green shiso. Also recommended as a tea for ochazuke.
It is a popular tea to drink after dinner because there isn’t much caffeine in it and you can sleep well. You can taste the nice roasted leaves and feel relaxed.
Bancha tea is the last tea that is harvested in the year. Because it is the last harvest it has nearly no caffeine and we often drink in the evening and late afternoon.
The water should never be boiling, but simmering, to preserve the quality of the leaves.
For a delicious Bancha tea, brew for 2 - 3 minutes in water at a temperature of 70°. Store in a cool, dry place, away from light.
