Hojicha is Green Tea that is roasted slowly in a porcelain pot over coal. Most other Japanese tea is made by a steaming process. As a roasted green tea, hojicha offers many of the benefits of traditional Japanese green tea while being virtually caffeine free. Some of the benefits of green tea include improving oral health, lowering the risk of cancer, relieving stress, and protecting against heart disease.
