Sesame Tofu named because it has the shape and softness of Tofu, however instead of soy beans, it is made with sesame seeds.
Made with "home roasted" peeled and unpeeled sesame, ground into a paste. Mineral rich sugar cane from Kikai island is added along with salt from Nagasaki's Goto Islands, and finally bound together with wild organic mountain-grown Kudzu, hand processed.
For generations, this family has been preparing this well loved vegan Nagasaki speciality that was brought to the region with Zen Buddhism in 1654.
