Description
  • Beautiful and handy standard kitchen scissors
  • It can be used not only for food but it is multifunctional for opening bottles and food products.
  • Made by craftsman from the famous Banshu region
  • These scissors are designed to be stable so they won't slip, even when cutting tough products like crab and frozen meat.

The circle near the blade can be used as a bottle opener, and the ribbed circle near the handle can be used as a nutcracker.

The tabs on the end of the handles can be used to pry cans.

Since the Edo period (1603-1868), the forging and hardware industry known as Banshu (in Hyogo prefecture, Japan) began long ago as a Katana (sword) maker. Each sword, carefully handcrafted, has stood the test of time and remains an exceptional instrument.

Banshu Hamono was originally a family business from this region and this history of craftsmen. After having started by producing swords, the company launched into the manufacture of kitchen knives. It then expanded and today manufactures a variety of products including utility knives, traditional Japanese razors, Japanese scissors used for wire cutting, pruners, flower scissors and various gardening tools.

Each piece is painstakingly handcrafted by skilled artisans using the same techniques that have been employed for generations. For about 250 years, various new designs have been created to meet customer needs.

Maintenance: Stainless steel does not rust easily, so it can be washed as it is with dishwashing detergent.
